The new replacement windows were really nice and I even had the contractor make one that had a stained glass insert in it. It was to go in my bathroom, over the big garden tub. I had always wanted a stained glass window so when the replacement windows contractor offered it to me, I had to say yes.

I knew that it would cost me a little more but I think that it was well worth it. In fact, I actually wish that I would have had one made for over the entry door in the foyer. It would have looked really pretty in the sun.

I had been pricing vinyl windows for the last few years and every year when I would get my tax check, I would say that I was going to use it for new vinyl windows. Every time, I would use just a little here and a little there and then it would be all gone. This year however, I made a promise to myself and I stuck to it. I am too old to live in a drafty house and I knew that I had to change that. It was the best thing that I could have done with my tax money.
